i have resently discover this website and thought i should write a review of my dojo in the Bellmore-Merrick area. i have also resently continued my martial art carear do to the high demand of begining shcool and sports.
ive attended New Horizon Self Defence sine 4th grade, i am now 14 and in high shcool. my sensei has tought me in junoir class through adult class, i train with people twice my size... its awsome.
the school is small and unique. its not a tiger showman's pink belt work out with music and snack breaks its just about as kickass as it gets, not to say it isnt a friendly funny place cuz ive had some good laughs and made friends there. the instructor teaches because he loves what he teaches. i have learned so much and have SO MUCH more to learn. the instuctor is basiclly the nicest guy that youll ever meet and is great at what he does. having the knoledge and disipline that ive learned/ learning from this school has helped me though life's problems and im so glad that i found it.
