
In an article for Vice's "Fightland", Josh Rosenblatt covers the Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Commission's recent rules change on the subject of female fighters with breast implants. In a meeting this past week to discuss the topic, Commissioner Harold Williams stated, If [women] want to look good, then they dont have to be in the ring.
Just in case you were hoping that the rise of Ronda Rousey and the success of Invicta had wiped out Americans strange, paternalistic fears about womens MMA, on Wednesday the Louisiana State Boxing and Wrestling Commission passed an emergency rule prohibiting women with breast implants from fighting in sanctioned matches unless they get a letter from the doctor who performed the surgery.
