Well it's been a while since I've posted a new thread........I think! so anyway For all that is good in the world, I want to do right by my Daughter! she is 9 yrs. old and recently I enrolled her in Shotokan Karate. She does like it but want's me to partake. I have been going with her for the last 3 weeks but just can't get into it! I feel like my martial arts IQ is regressing! (for lack of better way to describe!). I'm pretty sure I'm going to hang it up! She thus far has enjoyed her training and her Sensei is really good with her, so my question is, should I keep her in it knowing it probably is not the most effective self defense method for her to be in ? and two How should I explain to her that I want to (cut bait on shotokan) without discouraging her? For what's it's worth Her only other option is TKD or maybe the chess club lol. due to where we live and time constraints. Anyway all replies are welcome weather serious or in fun!
