A U.K. company stages unique experiences. One of their events is a riot, literally.

Participants take turns playing cops and rioters. Some people think its dangerous and irresponsible to teach young people to go torch things and loot shops. But is it? Id think the exercise does a good job of teaching what being in the midst of a riot is like, and is likely to make some people think twice about participating in violent protest.
Apparently everyone is well padded and protected, and there are no serious injuries resulting. The experience includes some training in riot control techniques, including the use of batons and shields and how to evacuate casualties. As a martial artist, Im intrigued by the learning opportunities, if only to have some idea of what to do if I ever find myself in a similar free for all. Not to mention the chance to practice technique under stress, even if it is simulated.
What do you think? Useful learning experience or not? Assuming affordable cost, would you participate?
