Walked into a bar today and feeling a bit bored, I overheard the word "Arm bar" as it echoed through out the empty cigar/cider bar.
(The bartender turns out to be a ninjuts trainee of 15 years)
I sat and took a seat at the bar counter and as the conversation grew louder I was able to comprehend the ninjer talk and it went like this: (bartender- BT, chubby ex wrestler - CW, Me)
BT: Yeah, I just have a problem with the body dynamics of MMA fighters. Those sweeps and throws will never work on the street.
CW: *Goes on about how all "MMA and BJJ fighters are useless once a 2x4 plank is thrown in the fight"*
Me: If the ground is so dangerous, isn't it a solid idea to learn... at the least... basic ground escapes and control?
BT: The ground means death
Me: That's why you should have knowledge in grappli- *cuts me off*
BT: Ninjutsu is about killing, fast limb snapping, not about looking fancy. MMA is a sport and is useless in the streets.
Me: Well, MMA is the closes thing that resembles a combat situation. If it can work on a world class athlete and fighter... why not a random rough neck on the streets?
BT: I'v seen lots of Judo guys and they don't know what they're doing. They do seoi-nage all wrong, you're supposed to break their balance first.
BT: And the tap out system is pointless. Both partners should learn control and not have to tap out during training.
Me: What martial arts do you train in?
BT: Bujikan/ninjutsu for 15 years and I am a instructor
BT: Yeah, MMA fighters are too stiff and linear
Me: Where do you train? I'd like to learn and try it out
BT: We don't have a dojo yet but come to Wilson park every sunday and Wednesday at 4:30pm.
BT: We won't be hard to find, we're wearing all black
*He told me his art is better then sports, now I'm in a small town with no mma gym. so I'm guessing no one has had the chance to test his art*

Tl;dr - Ninjer claims all things related to MMA is futile. Is willing to let me test and try his art, ninjer is at least aged mid 20s
