Hey guys, straight to the point; last night in class my instructor tells me that if I do not sign up to one of the tournaments or seminars before my grading for my black belt in June, I will have points deducted from my overall black belt score for not being 'supportive.' Now this goes for anyone going for their black belt and it was emailed to my instructor, so I can't really shoot the messenger. BUT My instructor's school is in Steve Stewart's organization, so it's a real McDojo.
This just boils my p!ss I'm so mad. I just can't believe how low you would have to stoop to pull something like this. It's like they're black mailing me (if I don't do as they tell me, I'm a bad boy and will be disciplined). I'm already gonna have to pay more than half a grand alone for the damn black belt test, I'm NOT planning on paying an extra penny to deepen Steve Stewart's coffers. How would you guys handle this? I'd probably quit if it weren't for some of the people at the school who are genuinely good guys.
