I read a comment on a PC gamer article that was so ridiculous that I have nothing I can really say about it, but at the same time deserved to have other people laugh at it, so I posted it here. It's about why using a musket is somehow inferior to using hand to hand combat in the context of some games that came out dealing with Napoleonic wars.

It was comparatively for sissy's man, there was NO WHERE NEAR as much skill involved, NO WHERE NEAR as much training, a month training with a musket DOES NOT compare to 20 years training with a sword. It's also a lot harder psychologically to kill a man face to face than it is from a distance. You actually see that he's a man exactly like you not some random shape. pullin a trigger is psychologically no where near as challenging as having to hack at someone 2 metres away who grew up exactly the same as you did. Why do you think snipers are so fucked in the head? They seen that **** closeup too many times.
That BS aside though. I simply prefer melee combat, I find the strategy involved to be much more entertaining.
